Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026
This website is a single informational page about the properties of Artemis Aegean Homes. It has no accounts, no shop and no booking engine, so there is very little for us to collect. This policy explains exactly what happens, in plain language.

We are the data controller for this website under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
What we do not do
To be clear about the things people usually worry about:
- We use no analytics (no Google Analytics or similar).
- We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and no pixels from Meta, Google Ads or anyone else.
- We do not profile visitors, and we make no automated decisions about you.
- We do not sell or share personal data.
- There is no contact form or newsletter on this site, so we collect nothing directly from you here.
Cookies and local storage
This website sets no cookies of its own. There is one exception, and it only exists to respect your choice:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| va-map-consent | Local storage (not a cookie) | Remembers whether you allowed the Google map to load, so we stop asking on every visit. | Until you clear your browser storage |
This entry stays in your own browser, is never transmitted to us, and contains nothing but the word “accepted” or “declined”. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of the home page.
The location map (third-party content)
The home page can display an interactive map from Google Maps. Because embedding it means your browser connects directly to Google, and Google may then set its own cookies and process your IP address, the map does not load until you allow it. Until then you see only a placeholder, and nothing is sent to Google.
If you choose to load the map, your data is processed by Google Ireland Limited under Google’s own terms. See the Google Privacy Policy. Our legal basis for loading it is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings”.
Fonts
The site’s typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. This means your browser requests the font files from Google’s servers and your IP address is visible to Google in the process. Google Fonts sets no cookies and, according to Google, does not use these requests to build user profiles.
Links to other services
The page links out to Airbnb (to make a reservation) and to WhatsApp (to message us). Following those links takes you to services run by other companies, and once you are there their own privacy policies apply, not ours. We receive no data from those platforms through this website.
Server logs
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records basic technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and your browser type. These logs exist to keep the site running and secure, and to diagnose faults. They are kept for a short period and then deleted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
If you contact us
If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we will hold the details you send us (such as your name, contact details and the content of your message) for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of our correspondence. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting what was lawful before.
To exercise any of these rights, write to bookings@artemis-aegean-homes.com. We will respond within one month.
If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (Αρχή Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα), Kifissias 1-3, 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr.
Children
This website is aimed at adults booking accommodation and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children through this site.
Changes to this policy
If the website gains new functionality, for example an online booking or payment system, this policy will be updated before that functionality goes live. The date at the top always shows the current version.
